Before You Start — Prepare These First

  • Passport (at hand — you will need the number, issue date, and expiry date. Must remain effective for at least 6 months from your arrival in Indonesia and contain 1 blank page for visa stamps)
  • Scanned passport bio page (JPG or PNG, max 200 KB, all corners visible, in color)
  • Passport-style photo (white or light background, min. 300 dpi, taken within the last 6 months)
  • Credit or debit card for payment (Mastercard, Visa, or JCB)
  • Active email address (your approved e-VOA will be sent here)

How to Apply — Step by Step

Create Your Account

Register at evisa.imigrasi.go.id with your email address — account activation is required before you can submit an application.

Note: Many applicants miss this step. You cannot access the form without a verified account.

Fill in the Application Form

  • Full name exactly as it appears in your passport
  • Passport number, country of issue, issue date, and expiry date
  • Planned date and port of entry (airport, seaport, or land border crossing)
  • Purpose of visit: Tourism / Business Meeting / Government Visit / Transit
  • Contact details and email address

Note: The most common cause of rejection is a name typo. Every character must be identical to your passport.

Upload Your Documents

  • Passport bio page — JPG or PNG, max 200 KB, all four corners visible, in color.
  • Passport-style photo — white or light background, no shadows, full face, neutral expression.

Scans taken with a smartphone camera or laptop web camera are accepted — the image must be clear, complete, in color, and of high quality so that all data is easily readable.

Pay the Application Fee

  • Fee: IDR 500,000 (~USD 35) government fee + USD 85 service fee = USD 120 total
  • Accepted cards: Mastercard, Visa, JCB — the card does not need to be in your name.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with your Application ID immediately after payment — save this ID.

Note: The fee is non-refundable. Double-check all details before paying.

Wait for Processing

  • Standard processing (official portal): 3–5 business days
  • Through our service: typically 1–3 business days
  • Apply at least 7–10 business days before your travel date.
  • Peak periods (July–August, Ramadan, Lebaran): allow up to 7 business days.

Processing time depends on application volume, accuracy of information submitted, time of submission, and system performance. If your application requires additional details, we may request them via email — check your inbox regularly.

Receive and Download Your e-VOA

Your approved e-VOA arrives as a PDF to your email address.

  • Print it OR save it on your phone.
  • Show it at the immigration checkpoint on arrival.
  • The immigration officer will stamp it into your passport.
  • e-VOA holders can use e-Gates at Indonesian international airports.

At the Airport — What to Have Ready

  • Printed or digital e-VOA
  • Your passport
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement or credit card)
  • Completed All Indonesia Arrival Card — fill in digitally at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id before landing (replaced paper cards from October 2025).

How to Check Your Application Status

After submitting, track your visa status at evisa.imigrasi.go.id — enter your Application ID and passport number. Status updates are available within 24 hours of a decision being made.

  1. Check your spam or junk folder for the e-VOA approval email.
  2. Check your status at evisa.imigrasi.go.id using your Application ID.
